This item will guide you through the steps of creating a discussion or coordination Group in the Big-Issues community. It is very simple. Here's how:

  1. Log in - if you haven't already joined the community then read Joining the community and click on the Community menu option.
  2. Click on the Groups option that appears when you place your mouse over the Applications menu item that appears in the centre of the screen
  3. Click on the Create Group link on the right hand side of the Groups sub-menu.
  4. Complete the Group form that appears with a title, a suitable explanatory description (this is what potential members will see) and whether you want the group to be Open (anyone can join) or Private (applications to join the group need to be approved, and the Group wall, discussions and photos are restricted to group members). Click on the Create Group button when you are ready. Voila - it is that simple!

This Help/FAQ item is designed to help people who are new to this Community. If you think it can be improved, please contact the Administrator.
